Personal Injury Lawyer
to join us as a founding stakeholder. This is a rare chance to help build a practice from the ground up, collaborate with outside law firms, and shape the future of med-legal services within a supportive, innovative healthcare environment.
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Personal Injury Lawyer to join our newly formed legal team. The ideal candidate will have a license to practice law in Ontario and have a strong background in personal injury law, demonstrating the ability to advocate effectively for clients who have suffered injuries due to negligence. This role requires excellent research, negotiation, and legal drafting skills.
Duties
Represent clients in personal injury cases, providing expert legal advice and guidance throughout the process.
Conduct thorough research on case law, statutes, and regulations relevant to personal injury claims.
Draft and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
Prepare cases for trial by gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and developing case strategies.
Maintain accurate records of case progress and client communications.
Stay updated on changes in personal injury law and related legal practices to provide informed representation.
Skills
Strong writing skills for drafting legal documents clearly and persuasively.
Proficient negotiation skills to effectively advocate for clients during settlement discussions.
Excellent research abilities to analyze case law and gather pertinent information efficiently.
Experience in legal drafting to prepare necessary documentation with precision.
Familiarity with Lexis-Nexis or similar legal research tools is highly desirable.
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to navigate complex legal issues.
Exceptional communication skills for interacting with clients, colleagues, and court personnel.
