Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Worker for in-home care. This role is essential in providing high-quality support to a person in need of assistance with all facets of everyday life. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to perform various care giving tasks in the home. The individual is bedridden and suffers from severe ME/CFS (Chronic fatigue syndrome). Must have a cell phone.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care services, including bathing, dressing, eating, and eliminating. Meal preparation, ensuring nutritional needs are met. Light housekeeping responsibilities. Administer medication if needed as prescribed and monitor for any side effects or changes in condition. Assist with mobility and heavy lifting once per day as needed to ensure client safety and comfort. Maintain a clean and safe environment adhering to hygiene standards. Document care provided and report any changes in client health or behavior to family members. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care plans are followed.

Qualifications

Previous experience in care-giving, home care, or assisted living settings is preferred. Ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting and assist client with mobility challenges. Ability to plan ahead and follow a daily schedule/routine. Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life. Due to the nature of the disability, you must be able to work with little verbal interaction and maintain a quiet living space.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.41-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 42.5 per week
