The size and complexity of L3 Harris MAS operations, the geographical dispersion of operations on bases, the support offered to the Canadian Forces as well as the active participation of L3 Harris MAS in numerous business proposals require a position of Person Responsible for Assignment of Authority (PRAA Principal) - Proposals & Military Airworthiness.

About your next Challenge as a Person Responsible for Assignment of Authority - Senior PRAA & Military Airworthiness :

Reporting to the Senior Maintenance Manager (SMM), the position of Senior PRAA - & Military & Commercial Airworthiness is responsible for overseeing the authorization process within our military Accredited Maintenance Organization (AMO/AMO) based on the diversity of operations and support offered to Canadian Forces and commercial projects.

In order to maintain the capacity to increase and diversify our operations, the Senior PRAA - & Airworthiness is responsible for initiating, monitoring and ensuring the validity of the accreditation process with DTAES / Transport Canada for the addition of aircraft and privileges to the L3 Harris MAS (Maintenance, Manufacturing and In-Service Support) Airworthiness Manuals.

The Senior PRAA - & Airworthiness is also called upon to participate in the development of concepts of operations that meet military airworthiness requirements when L3 Harris MAS participates in business proposals.

What You Will Do:

• Ensure timely support to operations in granting authorizations for airworthiness-related work signatures.
• Prepare maintenance policy manual updates following changes requested by the technical authority, to the scope and extent of work performed or other requirements,
• Communicate and clarify to the GSM any changes within the Air Maintenance Organization that may affect the scope and extent of maintenance activities to be performed within the AMO,
• Inform GSM of any changes within the Maintenance, Manufacturing or Equipment Support Organization that may affect the assigned technical airworthiness authority,
• Support off-site operations when adding privileges.
• Communicate and clarify concerns or difficulties identified during maintenance activities to SMM
• Participate in audits of technical authorities and support to implement actions following audits.
• Support projects CF-18, CT-114, CC-150, CC330, and any new projects that will require support for the authorizatios.

Required Skills and Experiences:

• College diploma or Bachelor\'s degree in aerospace combined with a minimum of nine (9) years\' experience in a management, maintenance or training role within a military operations maintenance company or;
• Graduate degree in aerospace studies and seven (7) years\' experience in a management, maintenance or training role within a military operations maintenance company or;
• Ten (10) years\' experience in a management, maintenance or training role within a military operations maintenance company;
• Computer skills: SAP, MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio),
• Adaptability, interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team;
• Bilingualism required (French and English); good oral and written communication skills in both languages.
• Ability to plan, organize work and manage priorities;
• Thorough knowledge of airworthiness laws and policies, and of the L3 MAS quality system.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada \xc3\xa2\xc2\x80\xc2\x9cReliability\xc3\xa2\xc2\x80\xc2\x9d status and/or Level 2 (Secret) security clearance;
• For on-site positions, our location not accessible by public transport, car/carpooling required
