Salary Range/ Wage Rate: PG 30 $3,526.40 - $4,175.28 bi-weekly

Our Human Resources and Corporate Services Department is seeking a PeopleSoft Technical Analyst who will help support the PeopleSoft HR/Payroll system.

You are: a self-motivated technical analyst with a passion for PeopleSoft, analytics, and system integration. You have hands-on experience in providing support and development for PeopleSoft 9.2, analytics, and the system integrations that enable them. You have a passion for connecting data and enterprise systems. You value teamwork, communication, customer satisfaction, and fun.

This role:
Acts as a primary technical resource supporting the PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM). In this role, a primary duty is to act in the capacity of a PeopleSoft Programmer/Developer and as a back up to the PSADMIN. You will act as the technical expert in the implementation, upgrade, and support to guide the design, configuration, setup, and testing of the PeopleSoft application. You will also lead fit/gap sessions, make recommendations on best practices, solve complex technical issues, and interact and work closely with the functional team to define system specifications. This work includes technical analysis, developing technical design specifications, development of custom objects including reports, interfaces, conversions, and enhancements.

The ideal candidate will have well-rounded knowledge of all aspects of the PeopleSoft architecture and toolsets. They will be able to work with clients at all organizational levels to define technical requirements and provide advice on the use of PeopleSoft to support business requirements. In addition to being self-motivated and able to work independently, the ideal candidate will work as a member of a team, cooperating and collaborating with other team members to produce optimum solutions.

Acts as technical lead representing the PeopleSoft HCM system in the development and implementation of large-scale implementations; specifically, in the space of integration and providing data support and expertise to consuming applications, and systems.

Acts as a liaison between client departments and IT, assists in the resolution of service problems and issues; provides advice and guidance to other staff engaged on projects of less complexity.

Creates technical documentation as needed, prepares reports and makes presentations related to the work performed.

To be successful, you have:
University graduation at the Bachelor's level in computer sciences, business or engineering plus considerable related experience in business/management systems analysis, systems planning, and/or in an engineering environment; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

PeopleTools Application Developer Certification and/or PeopleSoft Human Resources 9.x Certification would be considered assets.

Thorough knowledge of PeopleSoft 9.2 Human Resources, Ben Admin, Candidate Gateway, Payroll, Time and Labour, and 8.57 PeopleTools.

Thorough knowledge of PeopleSoft Lifecycle Management, Update Manager(PUM), Change Assistant, PeopleSoft Integration Tools, PeopleCode, Application Designer, Application Engine, and SQR, Data Mover, Component Interface, COBOL, Integration Broker, PeopleSoft Query, XML Publisher, SQL, and relational databases

Thorough knowledge with PeopleSoft Application Administration.

Thorough knowledge of business and business systems planning principles, methods and standards.

Thorough knowledge of problem definition and analysis related to business processes and systems planning.

Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of administrative management and project management.

Thorough knowledge of problem definition and analysis related to business processes and systems planning.

Thorough knowledge of the equipment, methods and techniques used in computerized data processing operations.

Considerable knowledge of information technology components, processes and developments related to the work performed.

Considerable knowledge of the functions of departments served and their requirements in information technology.

Ability to document, analyze and assess a variety of information, identify priorities and resources and propose alternative business processes.

Ability to act as project manager regarding the development and implementation of work being performed.

Ability to assist in the development of corporate standards and to perform other administrative tasks related to the work performed.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of internal contacts and to provide advice and assistance on matters related to the work.

Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing and to present proposals in non-technical language.

Ability to perform assigned duties under minimum supervision.

Driver's License for the Province of British Columbia.
