People Operations Specialist
JANA is focused on improving the integrity of gas distribution and gas transmission pipeline systems through the application of advanced risk modeling technologies. Our models and software are defensible and highly predictive, allowing gas pipeline operators to take actions to reduce risk in their systems. And our Integrity Data suite enables pipeline operators to finally capture their pipeline asset data and unlock the value associated with this data.

JANA’s People Operations Specialist is an enthusiastic, creative and detail-oriented individual, with a passion for people! They are responsible for implementing value-added Human Resources solutions that support overall business objectives and play a key role in the success of our company. This role supports our People Operations Team, with a focus on recruitment coordination, information distribution, and HR administration. They are comfortable wearing many hats and are unafraid of new challenges.
Responsibilities
  • Supports JANA’s recruitment process, including shortlisting resumes, scheduling and setup of interviews, and collecting onboarding documents
  • Manages the vacation tracking system, including quarterly reporting
  • Maintains Personnel Files, runs data checks to ensure all records are accurate
  • Coordinates Coop and Summer Student Recruitment
  • Prepares and issues some Employment Verification Letters
  • Coordinate processing of New Hires, Employee Changes, Separations, etc. in HRIS
  • Administers programs to help further improve the employee onboarding experience including training and providing support to new employees
  • Support JANA culture initiatives and be a “culture ambassador”

Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree, preferably in Business or Human Resources
  • HR designation (CHRP) in progress
  • 3+ years of progressive HR support experience, preferably in a generalist/specialist capacity
  • Experience and passion for recruitment administration, preferably for technical or software roles
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Word.

  • Ability to function independently yet know when to escalate issues
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Project, Excel, PowerPoint and Access, experience with HRIS systems (experience with BambooHR preferred)
