We are looking for a
People & Culture Coordinator
to join our team to cover a 12-month maternity leave--a role where your expertise will drive meaningful outcomes and your ambition will help shape what comes next. Your role:
Assist in the recruitment process by posting job advertisements, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews
Conduct background checks and reference checks
Facilitate new employee orientation and onboarding processes
Maintain and update employee records, ensuring compliance with local, provincial, and federal regulations
Handle paperwork related to employment, such as contracts and benefits enrollment
Assisting with payroll processing to ensure salaries are paid accurately and on time
Administer employee benefits programs and respond to related inquiries
Track and administer overtime and vacation records
Coordinate training sessions and seminars
Support the development and implementation of People & Culture initiatives and systems
Schedule meetings, interviews, and People & Culture events
Prepare and submit reports on general People & Culture activities
Support People & Culture committee & task force initiatives
Assist in developing shared services resources through the learning management system
Contribute to the development and maintenance of job descriptions, organizational policies, and operational processes
What you bring to the table:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
2-3 years of experience in People & Culture or related role
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
Experience with payroll and benefits administration
Knowledge of employment laws and regulations
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
