Purpose of the position The position will:

  • Provide complaint response, conduct investigations, and initiate enforcement action.
  • Provide public education, positive community engagement and interact with residents, visitors, and a variety of partners.

To be successful in this position, you will:
  • Come to us with related education and experience with demonstrated passion to continue to develop in your field.
    • Law Enforcement Diploma or accredited Police Training or basic Peace Officer Training or equivalent.
    • Be eligible for appointment as a Level I Community Peace Officer or equivalent.
    • Completion of the Justice Solicitor General\xe2\x80\x99s Community Peace Officer Program (CPOIP) or equivalent.
    • Experience or related training pertaining to using radio communication with law enforcement.
    • Be well-developed in public relations skills.
    • Have computer skills to work with a variety of computer programs.
