Job Overview


We are seeking an

experienced PE Pipe Fusion Supervisor

to oversee shallow utility and underground residential development (URD) projects, including the installation and fusion of polyethylene (PE) piping systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with both

butt fusion and electrofusion techniques

, as well as proven leadership skills managing field crews and coordinating with clients and contractors.

This is a key leadership position for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates strong technical knowledge of PE fusion systems, and takes pride in producing high-quality, safe, and efficient work.

Responsibilities



Supervise and coordinate daily activities of field crews performing PE pipe fusion and installation for shallow utility and URD projects. Operate and oversee butt fusion and electrofusion equipment to ensure proper procedures and quality standards are met. Read and interpret drawings, plans, and specifications to ensure accurate and efficient installation. Organize equipment, materials, and workforce to meet production goals and project schedules. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards. Maintain accurate documentation, including job progress, materials used, and crew time reports. Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, clients, and subcontractors. Inspect work to confirm quality, fusion integrity, and adherence to specifications. Troubleshoot on-site challenges and implement effective solutions. Train and mentor crew members, promoting skill development, safety, and teamwork.

Requirements



Minimum

3 years of experience

in PE pipe fusion and installation.

Hands-on experience

with both

PE pipe fusion and electrofusion techniques

.

Previous supervisory experience

running a crew on site. Experience in

shallow utility and underground residential development (URD)

construction.

Valid driver's license

and reliable transportation to and from work.

Clean driving record

and ability to provide a

3-year driver's abstract

. Proven ability to lead, organize, and motivate field crews effectively. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and meet the physical demands of the job. Safety certifications such as

CSTS, First Aid, and Ground Disturbance

are considered assets but

not required

.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00-$35.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
