KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.
Payroll Processing:
Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for Canadian and U.S. construction employees, including salaried staff, hourly field personnel, and Superintendents
Collect and verify timecards from job sites; calculate overtime and pay premiums
Ensure compliance with construction-specific payroll regulations, including the Commission de la Construction du Quebec (CCQ), as well as federal, provincial, and cross-border requirements
Post journal entries and prepare month-end reports
Leverage payroll software, particularly ADP Workforce Now and JD Edwards
Maintain confidential payroll and employee records, including status changes, deductions, direct deposits, sick leave, vacation, and other accrued leave
Respond to payroll-related inquiries, including deductions, wage garnishments, union remittances, and employment verifications

Filing, scanning and digital record-keeping
General administrative support to other team members
QUALIFICATIONS:
College diploma in Payroll Administration or equivalent education
One to two years of payroll experience, preferably within the construction industry
Thorough knowledge of payroll legislation and employment standards across applicable jurisdictions (QC, Canada, U.S.)
Experience with Payroll Software; ADP Workforce Now is preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
Bilingual in French and English is required
Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification or equivalent is preferred
Acute attention to detail
Strong organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
