As a Payroll Specialist at CIMS LP, you will be a key contributor towards CIMS success by ensuring the accurate and timely completion of the payroll process for all employees within the organization and assisting with the effective implementation of new Payroll systems while embodying CIMS corporate values of Our People, Our Promise, Our Passion.
You will report to the Payroll Manager and be accountable for:
Managing the full-cycle payroll process across multiple projects, unions, and provinces; ensuring payroll information is accurate and in compliance with federal/provincial regulations as well as collective agreements.
Contributing to the implementation of payroll systems, including through data conversion, system mapping, and testing.
Preparing and distribute various payroll reports weekly, monthly or yearly as needed.
Assisting with year-end processes, including T4 preparation and reconciliation.
A successful candidate would be an individual who has:
A minimum of 5 years in a dedicated payroll position.
Holds a bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
PCP (Payroll Compliance Practitioner) certification (required).
Experience with large volume & multiple union payrolls (required).
Experience with the implementation of payroll systems.
Working conditions you can expect while performing your role include:
Working in high-stress situations (i.e. collections, investigations, and meeting deadlines).
May be required to work outside of normal work hours on occasion to meet deadlines.
