Job Summary


We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Supervisor to oversee our payroll department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing payroll processes, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in various payroll systems, and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments.

Duties



Supervise the payroll team and oversee all payroll functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of employee payments. Manage payroll systems, including QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online, to ensure seamless operations. Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations related to payroll processing and reporting. Conduct regular audits of payroll data to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies as needed. Prepare reports related to payroll metrics, tax obligations, and other financial analyses as required. Provide training and support to staff on payroll software and best practices.

Qualifications



Bachelor's or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field preferred. Proven experience in payroll management with a strong understanding of accounting principles. Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks and financial software applications. Familiarity with corporate accounting practices including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger accounting, journal entries, debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, account reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data effectively. Excellent data entry skills with attention to detail. Knowledge of governmental accounting standards is an asset for candidates applying within non-profit sectors. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team; strong communication skills are essential. Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
