Based in Burnaby, British Columbia, the Payroll specialist position is a temporary to hire opportunity. We are looking for candidates to join a forward-thinking team at an innovative company as a Payroll Administrator. The role will involve performing all functions necessary for the preparation and processing of employee payroll.
Your Responsibilities
- Processing of bi-weekly payroll for 180+ employees
- Update and maintain accurate employee information (new hires, terminations, status changes, address updates, etc.)
- Draft reports by organizing all summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages
- Verify employee timesheets
- Collect and analyze information including resolving payroll discrepancies
- Take charge of all questions and requests related to payroll
- Maintain accurate and detailed payroll and benefits records.
- Protect confidential payroll operation information and maintain employee confidence
- Manage issues related to employee deductions and other liabilities, including reconciling
- 3+ years of payroll experience
- Understanding of federal and state payroll regulations and requirements
- Payroll for over 150+ employees experience preferred
- Solid understanding of Canadian Payroll
- Proven knowledge of ADP Workforce Now
- Experience with Ceridian Payroll System
