Payroll & Human Resources Generalist
Hamilton, ON
Pay: $30.00 - $34.00/hour
Contract Position - ability to work full-time on a hybrid schedule OR part-time in office
:
- Administration of bi-weekly salary and hourly payroll of 200+ employees
- Accurate and timely processing of hires, changes, terminations, timecard maintenance, ROEs, other special payments
- Support daily HR activities and assists with team member inquiries
- Use various channels and platforms to actively search and engage with potential candidates
- Manage the website posting process and all other on-line job boards
- Partner with hiring managers to understand the business and proactively recruit and fill positions
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for the company, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, reference checks, creating and negotiating offer letters, onboarding and orientation
- Evaluate resumes and cover letters to identify candidates that meet requirements
- Conduct interviews to assess candidates\' qualifications, skills, and experience
- Assist in health and safety programs, WSIB and early and safe return to work initiatives - Assist in all aspects of Employee Relations ensuring core values are maintained - Participate in planning employee engagement initiatives
Job Requirements:
- 2+ years of payroll processing experience
- Experience doing payroll for 200+ employees (hourly and salary) is an asset
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Experience working with ADP WFN
- 3+ years of experience in an Human Resources & Recruitment role
- Excellent understanding of provincial law, regulations, and best practices
