Job Summary:

Currently we are seeking an experienced and independent Payroll Clerk to join the Maple Drywall team. The individual will report directly to the Owner/ Director of the High-rise and/or Residential department. The Payroll Clerk is responsible for processing timesheets, payroll data, calculating wages, issuing statements, and preparing paychecks. Coordinate between the estimator department and foremen to investigate and resolve any errors in a timely manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for High-rise and/or Residential weekly Payroll.

2. Collection of all automated and manual timecards for all hourly and piecework employees. Follow up on any missing timecards or information.

3. Review and correction of all errors within the time cards by coordinating with the estimators and the foreman/supervisor.

4. Reconciliation of payroll accounts, including hours, rates, etc.

5. Assist with payroll and compliance reporting.

6. Assist with new hires and records of employment.

7. Adding and removing employees from ERP and setting pay classes/rates.

8. Ensuring paychecks and statements are distributed to foreman/supervisors in a timely manner.

Education and/ or Experience:

Experience with Plexxis or similar ERP software (preferred)

Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role in construction or manufacturing industry.

Degree or certification in payroll considered an asset.
