Seeking a Payroll Clerk for a 6 months contract with a possibility of extension.Agilus is recruiting for a Payroll Clerk in the Retail Industry in Calgary, Alberta. The ideal candidate will be accountable for performing payroll functions including verifying documents, data entry, distribution of reports, complying with all government and collective agreement requirements. Daily internal communication is required with all levels of employees and management, primarily providing information and problem resolution. High level of attention to detail is required to ensure accuracy of payroll. Strict deadlines are required at certain times in the payroll cycle. A typical day:

• Maintain accuracy on-line keying including time cards, new hires, terminations, changes, retro adjustments, net pay deposits, etc.
• Import time cards into Oracle system
• Assist with basic day-to-day payroll related inquires and follow up with required actions
• Enter any manual adjustments or manual time cards to Oracle Time Management
• Prepare spreadsheet information and data load to Oracle (e.g. Manager Holidays, etc)
• Print cheques and Employee Statement of Earnings. Seal and sort for distribution
• Reconcile assigned payroll related general ledger accounts
• Prepare requests for information including EI earnings requests, salary confirmation letters, etc.

Successful candidates will have:

• Minimum 1 year office experience and 6 months of computerized payroll experience
• Competent keyboarding skills along with good knowledge of excel and word
• Oracle or Kronos Payroll experience
• Strong communication, interpersonal and time management skills
• Excellent organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail

Total rewards:

• $21.00 - $23.00 hourly
