About the Role

Reporting to the Controller and working closely with the Payroll Coordinator, the Payroll Assistant plays a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely execution of payroll. The ideal candidate is an organized, proactive self-starter who thrives in a dynamic accounting team environment.

Hourly Pay Range: $24.00 - $27.00

Keeping organized and meeting deadlines. Strong attention to detail and effective time management skills. Communicating both written and verbally. Taking initiative. Working in collaboration with different teams. Handling sensitive information in a confidential manner.

What you'll be doing

Working with the Payroll Coordinator to ensure payroll is executed timely and accurately. Maintaining employee records. Preparing Government remittances and ROE's. Assisting with year-end preparation and reporting. Performing intercompany billings. Processing the employee RRSP program. Other accounting and admin duties as required.

What we're looking for

Experience in a related role preferred. Minimum Grade 12 diploma. Post Secondary education in Accounting or Payroll fields considered an asset. Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel. Good understanding of accounting principles.
