Our team is customer focused, delivering the highest level of service and product quality possible.Summary: Blue Falls Manufacturing (BFM / "Arctic Spas") is currently searching for an organized, meticulous, and self-motivated Payroll/HR Administrator to perform a hybrid function between the Payroll and Human Resources teams. Reporting to the Payroll Manager, with a dotted line of responsibility to the Human Resources Manager, the ideal candidate will have basic payroll and HR/administrative office experience and possess a willingness to learn and expand their knowledge and skillsets in both capacities. This position is highly confidential in nature as it manages personnel compensation and information, requiring a great degree of discretion. Experience with ADP (the HRIS/Payroll system BFM utilizes) would be advantageous, although familiarity with/in any similar platform(s) would be an asset. We have one (1) full-time opportunity available for someone who is looking to get in the door and potentially grow their career, either with a concentration in payroll or Human Resources.The successful candidate will work Monday thru Friday; our scheduling typically allows for an early start and end to the day in consideration of assisting employees with maintaining work/life balance.Employees are eligible to participate in our bonus, recognition, and referral programs; we offer an attractive benefits package, as well as RRSP matching. At BFM there are numerous cross-training and developmental opportunities available; we promote from within when possible, and believe that the more you know, the more you grow!Duties: Assist Payroll Manager in the preparation, verification and timely processing of all employee payroll related payments, including regular pay, vacation pay, special payments i.e. bonuses, commissions, off-cycle payments, etc. Help answer non-complex employee inquiries about pay and benefits, including balances and pay and compensation discrepancies Assist in the identification and resolution of payroll discrepancies Verify and process documentation for administration of benefits such as benefit enrolment forms, and RRSP and profit share plan forms (cross-functional duty; may or may not include the processing of all items listed) Learn how to compile and interpret reports, statements, and/or summaries related to pay and benefits accounts Help Payroll Mgr. prepare and balance period-end reports and reconcile issued payrolls to bank statements Meaningfully contribute to the development and implementation of payroll policies, procedures or processes Support the administrative HR function by performing various clerical tasks including data entry of personnel information into the HRIS/Payroll platform, on-going filing, etc. Assist with recruitment and hiring initiatives as able (tasks to be delegated to Payroll/HR Admin. by HR Mgr. once primary Payroll duties have been fulfilled for the week) Participate in shaping and promoting organizational cultureSkills/Abilities: Ability to analyze and work with numerical data Meticulous and well-organized Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Receptive to learning; willingness to take on task(s)/function(s) beyond basic level Ability to work both under supervision and autonomously Excellent attendance and punctualityExperience/Qualifications: Some coursework in / interest in furthering training/career in Payroll Administration, Bookkeeping or Accounting desired and/or Some coursework in / interest in furthering training/career in Human Resources or Recruitment desired 1-2 years' experience in Payroll Administration or closely related capacity and/or 1-2 years' experience in HR administration or general administrative capacity A combination of experience and education will be considered Proficiency utilizing Payroll/HRIS platforms; experience with ADP considered an assetWork Environment: Office setting; periodic exposure to manufacturing plant setting Depending on area, potential exposure to hot, humid, wet, cool/cold and/or breezy conditions May be exposed to chemicals/fumes, dust/particulates, and varying noise levelsTravel: N/ACompensation: Starting at $50,000.00 per annumOther: Valid Driver's License and reliable personal transportation to commute to and from work
