Responsibilities

- Warrant timely processing of payroll in accordance with labor regulations and standard accounting principles

- Review payroll areas, fringe benefit reporting, and pay practices related to FLSA to determine how those practices apply to advise management

- Follow current payroll tax requirements and relevant laws associated with the processing of employee wage data, including payroll taxes, employee federal and state income and social security taxes and other required reporting

- Lead quarterly and year-end payroll reports

- Improve systems and protocols to direct the collection, calculation and entering of pay data

- Perform review of data entered by others in the payroll software to include, but not limited to salary/wage increases, benefit deductions, employee termination dates, and employee leaves of absence under FMLA or other unpaid leave

- Advance internal business partners, Information Technology, and Human Resources to ensure security protocols for pay systems

- Guide staff with pay related issues, general questions related to payroll, PTO accruals, wage deductions, and fringe benefits

- Lead regular payroll reporting as required and assist with financial audits related to pay records and associated general ledger

- Note voluntary deductions, as well as wage garnishments, pay levies, and other involuntary court-ordered payments in a timely manner, including reporting to the necessary authorities

Requirements

- Full Cycle Payroll experience

- Wide ranging experience with Reconcile Payroll

- Quality experience with Process Payroll

- Proven knowledge of garnishments payroll

- Previous experience working with benefits administration

- Experience with benefits coordination

- Earlier work involving Year-end Payroll

- Strong familiarity with Multistate Payroll

- Experience with payroll systems for 100-500 employees

- Comprehension of benefits analysis

- Good understanding of Ceridian

- Skills in International Payroll

- Practical knowledge of Process Biweekly Payroll

- General familiarity with Process Bi-weekly Payroll

- Multi-state payroll experience

- Well-founded grasp of multi-state payroll

- Expertise in benefits payroll

- Experience working with an HRIS system and high proficiency with spreadsheets is a necessity

- Background in garnishments, various withholdings, and processing liens

- 2+ years of payroll experience
