Reporting to our Corporate Head office in the Yonge and St Clair area of Toronto, the Payroll Administrator will play a key role in supporting the Canadian Human Resources and Payroll teams in the accurate and timely processing of a semi-monthly, multi-province payroll for 1500+ employees using ADP Workforce Now. Most of the Things You’ll Work On:

  • Manage the integration tool for payroll changes flow between BambooHR and ADP Workforce Now
  • Process all other payroll changes, including new hires, departures, and backdated changes
  • Process payroll for hourly staff, including semi-monthly reconciliation of outstanding hours
  • Process ROEs as required
  • Maintain and update employee pay profiles as needed
  • Prepare semi-monthly and monthly payroll reports as required to various stakeholders
  • Participate in regular payroll reconciliation and audit activities
  • Assist with employee self-registration queries
  • Proactively troubleshoot employee payroll and benefit issues, ensuring quality of service
  • Maintain familiarity with Canadian payroll legislation to ensure efficient processing and compliance
  • Participates in special HR projects/reporting as required
  • Perform other payroll duties as required


Qualifications
You'll Need To Have:
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Experience with processing multi-province Canadian payroll is desired (BC, AB, ON, NS)
  • Experience with processing high-volume salaried and hourly payroll is desired
  • Completion of Payroll Certification Level 1 is desired
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now is heavily preferred
  • Advance level Excel skills along with proficiency in other Microsoft Office applications is a must; Excel is a heavy component to the daily work involved in this role
  • Experience working under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work with confidential information in a professional manner
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Strong time and task management skills
  • Excellent team player as well as independent worker
  • Ability to interact with all levels of staff, utilizing excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to work Mon to Fri during core business hours from 9:00am to 5:00pm typically (Eastern Standard Time).

Additional Information
We are currently in a work from home model during COVID-19, but when we do return to the office we're located at 55 St. Clair Ave West, this office is steps away from St. Clair station and is easily accessible by bike, TTC and car. Occupying 7 floors, with over 700 employees, it is the largest office at IBI Group. The floors are open concept and represent our collaborative approach to projects.
