Reporting to the Manager, Payroll Administrators (PAs) prepare and process bi-weekly payroll for employees of The Good Samaritan Society/Good Samaritan Canada 'GSS'. PAs play a critical role in preparing and processing employee information related to payroll and benefits and are an important point of contact for issuing pay and pay-related reports, documents and other data to current and former employees.
Educational and other Qualifications
Payroll Compliance Practitioner Certification
Work Experience
A minimum of two years' experience in payroll administration
A minimum of one year working experience processing payroll in a unionized environment
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong working knowledge of payroll systems and applications
Strong computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office Suites
Ability to identify and respond to payroll issues with immediate action
Strong interpersonal and active listening skills
Effective work practice-is accountable, dependable and flexible, perseveres, sets goals and meets deadlines, and is results oriented
Able to work in a multi-disciplinary environment
Excellent customer (internal and external) service and relationship building skills
Strong attention to details and ability to multitask in order to meet the needs of employees
