Tollestrup Construction (2005) Inc. has been in operation since 1940 and we are looking to expand our team here in Southern Alberta. We are currently looking for a Paver Operator.

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Paver Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating a paver and a strong mechanical knowledge base. This role requires a hands-on approach to various tasks, including loader operation, asphalt finishing, and heavy equipment management. The Operator will play a crucial role in ensuring projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.

Responsibilities

Operate equipment, in this case a Paver. 102years experience operating a paver to construct roads is required. Perform asphalt finishing tasks to meet project specifications. Dig and prepare sites for construction activities, ensuring proper site management. Collaborate with team members to pave surfaces accurately and effectively. Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoot mechanical issues as they arise, utilizing strong mechanical knowledge. Follow all safety protocols and regulations while operating machinery on-site.

Qualifications

Proven experience in paving operation is preferred. 1-2 years. Experience operating a roller and skidsteer is an asset. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic repairs and maintenance. Experience working on roadway construction is an asset. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
