The Patient Representative plays a crucial role in ensuring a positive experience for patients within our healthcare facility. This position involves direct interaction via telephone with patients, assisting them with their inquiries, and making appointments with our medical team. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a compassionate demeanor. Having a great attitude and excellent phone skills is necessary to succeed in this role.
Duties
Serve as the primary point of contact for patients via telephone calls in our new Call Centre
Utilize Accuro EMR to maintain accurate patient records and manage appointments.
Coordinate communication between patients and healthcare providers to facilitate timely information exchange.
Organize patient files and documentation to ensure easy access to information for both staff and patients.
Requirements
Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and comfortable operating various computer systems.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients and staff.
Ability to demonstrate empathy and professionalism while handling sensitive patient information.
This position is essential for our patients to make medical appointments in a timely manner. You will also be responsible for electronic filing of medical documents into patient files among other duties.
