Rotary Inpatient is an Alternate Health Facility primarily caring for Alternate Level of Care (ALC) patients, who no longer require the same level of acute care in hospital. The successful candidate will be hired into the Float Pool and will be assigned to the Rotary Inpatient temporarily and will return to the Float Pool once deemed appropriate (i.e. closure of the unit). The Patient Care Assistant (PCA) will assist with the provision of patient care and the efficient operation of the unit/area under the direction of a health care professional.
As a qualified candidate you will have the following job requirements:
Completed a recognized program for personal support worker Current Basic Rescuer Certificate in Basic Cardiac Life support or willingness to obtain within three (3) months of hiring Member of the Ontario Personal Support Worker Association (OPSWA) and/or Personal Support Network of Ontario (PSNO) an asset Previous patient care experience in health care environment or health related community work, preferred
