Dopamina Restaurant is an exciting new fine dining venue located in the heart of downtown Toronto, committed to delivering an exceptional upscale experience through our innovative Mediterranean cuisine with Asian influences. We are seeking a talented and passionate Pastry Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in baking and pastry arts, with the ability to create delicious desserts and pastries that delight our customers. This role requires a keen eye for detail, creativity in presentation, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.

Responsibilities

Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, and desserts according to established recipes and standards. Plate cakes and pastries with artistic flair, ensuring visual appeal and customer satisfaction. Assist in the preparation of food items for service, including measuring ingredients and following recipes accurately. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety regulations. Create dessert menu alongside with the seasonal A La Carte Menu. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service and high-quality food production. Provide excellent customer service by responding to inquiries about dessert offerings and accommodating special requests when possible.

Requirements

Proven experience in a restaurant is required, with a focus on pastry preparation. Strong skills in cake decorating and an understanding of various baking techniques. Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations is essential. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and customers alike. Previous kitchen experience within the food industry is required. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
