Responsibilities

Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, and desserts according to established recipes and standards. Decorate cakes and pastries with artistic flair, ensuring visual appeal and quality. Assist in the development of new dessert recipes and menu items. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry station, adhering to food safety standards. Handle food products safely, ensuring proper storage and packaging for freshness. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Provide excellent customer service when interacting with guests regarding dessert selections. Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies and assist in ordering as needed.

Requirements

Proven experience in a bakery or restaurant setting, with a focus on pastry preparation. Strong skills in cake decorating and presentation techniques. Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations. Experience in food preparation and cooking techniques relevant to baking. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and guests. Previous kitchen experience within the food industry is preferred. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. A passion for baking and creating delicious desserts that exceed customer expectations.
