Responsibilities

Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to established recipes and standards. Assist in the development of new pastry recipes and menu items, contributing creative ideas to enhance our offerings. Ensure that all food production meets health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organised workspace at all times. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods. Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies and ingredients, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock. Conduct regular quality checks on finished products to ensure consistency in taste, texture, and presentation.

Skills

Proven experience in food production and preparation within a professional kitchen environment. Strong culinary skills with a focus on baking techniques and pastry creation. Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in the kitchen. Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable, showcasing the ability to work efficiently under pressure. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to follow recipes accurately. Strong organisational skills, enabling effective multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
