Duties

Prepare a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to established recipes and presentation standards. Decorate cakes and pastries with artistic flair, ensuring visual appeal for customers. Assist in the overall food preparation process, including mixing, baking, and packaging finished products. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely delivery of products. Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries about menu items and taking special orders as needed. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages or needs to management.

Requirements

Proven experience in a pastry or baking role within a restaurant or food industry setting is preferred. Strong skills in cake decorating and an understanding of various baking techniques. Familiarity with food handling practices and food safety regulations is essential. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and customers alike. Previous kitchen experience is highly desirable, showcasing an ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
