This is a great way to put your skills that you learned to work. We are seeking a talented and passionate Pastry CHEF to join as internship and can develop to a paid full time position. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in baking and cake decorating, with experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Pastry Cook, you will be responsible for creating high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods that delight our customers and enhance their dining experience.
Responsibilities
Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, and desserts according to established recipes and standards.
Decorate cakes and pastries with creativity and attention to detail.
Ensure all food preparation meets food safety standards and regulations.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, adhering to food handling guidelines.
Assist with inventory management, including ordering supplies and packaging finished products for service.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to create new dessert offerings and seasonal specials.
Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests regarding dessert options and accommodating special requests.
Experience
Previous experience in a restaurant or bakery setting is preferred.
Strong skills in cake decorating and baking techniques are essential.
Familiarity with food safety practices and proper food handling procedures is required.
Experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations is highly desirable.
A background in customer service will enhance your ability to interact positively with guests.
