We are looking for a creative, experienced, and detail oriented
Pastry Chef
with strong knowledge of baking techniques to join our team. The ideal candidate has experience in a commercial kitchen or fine dining environment, with the ability to produce elegant desserts and pastries that meet exceptional quality and presentation.
Job Essentials
As a key member of our R&D team, you will:
Develop and refine pastry recipes
, including cakes, tarts, laminated doughs, fillings, glazes, and specialty desserts, ensuring flavor, texture, and presentation excellence.
Decorate
a variety of baked and pastry items to meet product standards, customer requirements, and visual appeal expectations.
Maintain and manage formulation records
and product databases to ensure accurate, up-to-date information is available across departments.
Oversee production of pastry items
for internal samples, trials, and presentations, ensuring consistency and adherence to R&D objectives.
Stay current with trends
in the baking and pastry industry to inspire innovation and creativity in product development.
Maintain
clean, organized, and food-safe workspaces
in accordance with HACCP and internal standards.
Coordinate samples
and conduct testing to validate product design and functionality. Manage the full sample process, development timelines, first production trials, and ongoing quality checks for existing products.
Monitor post-launch product performance
, gather stakeholder and consumer feedback, and help implement improvements based on insights.
Perform
other related duties
as required to support team success and company growth.
What You Bring
Education
: College diploma in
Pastry Arts
,
Baking & Pastry
,
Culinary Arts
or a related field is required.
Experience
:
5+ years
of experience in a pastry kitchen preferably in fine dining or luxury hotel or similar high-volume professional environment.
Bread making, cake decorating, piping skills & French pastry techniques
Excellent attention to detail, creativity and passionate about the pastry craft.
Knowledge of
baking and pastry ingredient functionality
, including emulsifiers, leavening agents, stabilizers, and sugars.
Proficiency in preparing and decorating a range of baked goods and desserts.
Creative & Analytical Thinking
