Peace River School Division requires a

Part

-Time (0.50 f.t.e.) Temporary Educational Assistant

at Menno Simmons Community School. This position will commence on August 27, 2025 and continue until June 26, 2026. The successful candidate will be working with students in Kindergarten and required to be fluent in the German language.


Menno Simons Community School serves students in grades K-12 population, comprised of English students and ESL Mennonite students. The school is situated west of Fairview near Cleardale, Alberta, approximately 200 km west of Grande Prairie.

Qualifications:

Educational Assistant Certificate or equivalent preferred Experience and/or training working with young children

Requirements:

Fluent in the German language

Provide an acceptable current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check
Please note, records check must be less than six (6) months old to date of your application.

Skills:

Ability to work with students with varying needs and abilities Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively Experience working in a classroom setting Experience in speech language development is considered an asset

This is a union position under the CUPE Local 4839 Peace River School Support Staff.


Rate of Pay:


$21.34 to $26.77 per hour (dependent on experience and education in accordance with the collective agreement between the CUPE Local 4839 and the Peace River School Division).
