The Peace River School Division is seeking applications for a

Part-

Time (0.70 f.t.e.) Temporary Educational Assistant

at Worsley Central School. This position will commence on August 27, 2025. The successful candidate will be providing classroom support to students in Kindergarten through grade 12. Specific duties may vary depending on the applicant's skill-set and experience.


Worsley is a small farming community in northern Alberta located about 170 kms west of Peace River. Worsley School serves students from grades K-12.

Qualifications:

Educational Assistant Certificate or equivalent. Experience and/or training working with student in school setting. Ability to work with children with varied ages, skills level, needs and abilities.

Skills:

Willingness to be part of a learning team, take direction and follow programs without direct supervision. Willingness to attend training and professional development opportunities on individual learning and complex learning needs. Ability to be flexible to the changing classroom environment and individual child needs Ability to manage and organize programming and keep records. Good communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with teachers.

Requirements:

Provide an acceptable current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check

This is a union position under the collective agreement between the

Rate of Pay:


$22.59 to $28.02 per hour (dependent on experience and education in accordance with the collective agreement between the CUPE Local 4839 and the Peace River School Division).
