York Funeral Home Ltd. is seeking a Part-Time Office Assistant.
Job Purpose
Provide superior customer service and ensure customer satisfaction. The incumbent will assist in duties surrounding the office at the funeral home. They will need to be able to work Monday- Friday from 12 pm to 5 pm.
Duties & Responsibilities
Offer comfort and superior customer service to bereaved families and friends of the deceased
Greet families and guest as they enter the building
Provide necessary funeral service information and options to customers
Contact newspaper to provide details of services as required
Perform data entry, documentation, printing and filing
Relay customer quality improvement suggestions
Answer telephones
Attend immediately to customer complaints or concerns
Perform other duties as required
Job Qualifications
Very personable and welcoming
Strong team player who is professional and compassionate
Excellent attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
Proficient using MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and funeral software
The successful candidate may be required to complete a background check
