Part-time Midnight Shelter Counsellor.

We offer many services and programs; 24-hour crisis line, emergency shelter, transitional and housing support, and many more.

Salary range is $24.77-29.14 per hour
The Role
The Midnight Shelter Counsellor works within the shelter program, providing counselling, crisis intervention, referrals and support.
Responsibilities:
Crisis Intervention, assessment and intakes
Counselling and support
Providing information and referrals
Supporting clients via phone and in-person
Shifts are every Saturday, Sunday and Monday 12:00am to 8:45am.
Minimum Requirements:
B.S.W. or equivalent experience required
Minimum 3 years of direct service
Additional Skills:
Knowledge and experience in the areas of intimate partner violence, family violence and human trafficking
Demonstrated social work clinical assessment and intervention skills within a shelter setting
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to prioritize workload
Communicate professionally in written and oral French preferred
Proficiency in other languages is preferred
