Snapology of Halton-Mississauga is looking for an enthusiastic, reliable, and creative
Part-Time Instructor/Teacher
to join our growing team!
For the past six years, we've been serving our community with fun, hands-on programs that combine
learning, creativity, and play using LEGO bricks and robotics
. From summer camps and after-school programs to workshops in private schools and senior centers, we're passionate about making an impact for kids, families, and seniors.
Location:
Mobile -- programs are delivered in schools, community centers, and senior facilities across Halton-Mississauga.
Roles & Responsibilities
Lead Snapology programs for children in after-school classes, camps, workshops, and community events.
Facilitate interactive workshops for seniors that encourage creativity, dexterity, and social engagement.
Deliver lessons using Snapology's LEGO-based STEAM curriculum in a fun, engaging, and hands-on way.
Develop and adapt lesson plans and workshop activities to make them more interactive, fun, and age-appropriate.
Use creative teaching strategies, games, and challenges to maintain student interest and participation.
Ensure the safety, well-being, and participation of all students.
Set up and pack up LEGO materials before and after each session.
Manage classroom behavior in a positive and supportive manner.
Encourage teamwork, problem-solving, and critical thinking through activities.
Communicate with parents, school staff, and community partners as needed.
Provide feedback on student progress and program effectiveness.
Assist in creating new workshop ideas and curriculum enhancements.
Requirements
Experience working with children and/or seniors is an asset.
Familiarity and comfort with building LEGO models.
Strong communication and people skills.
Reliable, punctual, and organized.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexible availability for afternoons, evenings, and occasional weekends.
A passion for education, creativity, and making learning fun!
Preferred Candidates:
University/College Students looking to earn extra income.
Part-time or supply teachers seeking additional teaching opportunities.
