:Ontario Gaming East Limited Partnership, a controlled affiliate of Great Canadian Gaming Corporation, is currently seeking a driven and energetic individual to join our growing business in eastern Ontario as a CAGE CASHIER. This role will join our team at Shorelines Casino Thousand Islands. Under the direct supervision of the Operations Manager, Cage & Count or the Supervisor, Cage & Coin, this position is responsible for customer service, cash administration and cash counts while contributing to a safe and welcoming work environment for all employees. Ensures adherence to all policies and procedures. Above all else, must be aligned with, and promote, Shorelines Casinos culture and philosophy of creating a great, memorable experience for our guests and colleagues.Duties and Responsibilities Include:\xc2\xb7 Exceeds guest expectations by providing outstanding customer service\xc2\xb7 Helps create an engaged work environment by choosing positivity and fun, recognizing excellent peer performance, and by caring about and supporting our colleagues every day\xc2\xb7 Handles cash transactions including but not limited to foreign currency exchange, traveler\'s cheques, short pays, over payments, cash counts, coins and bills\xc2\xb7 Monitors and reports all discrepancies and suspicious cash activities\xc2\xb7 Redeems value chips and gaming tickets for cash\xc2\xb7 Verifies and processes machine fills, machine jackpots, cancelled credits, as well as table fills and credits\xc2\xb7 Issues opening floats to Slot Attendants (or others); reconciles closing floats\xc2\xb7 Transfers and stores floats, keys and record keeping documents\xc2\xb7 Documents and reconciles transactions; may reconcile bank deposits and prepare revenue reports\xc2\xb7 Communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments\xc2\xb7 Builds strong working relationships with guests and employees\xc2\xb7 Complies with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations\xc2\xb7 Performs other duties as assigned or directed.Successful candidates will demonstrate the following qualifications:\xc2\xb7 People-focused and committed to service excellence\xc2\xb7 Proactive and solution-oriented with a drive to succeed\xc2\xb7 Secondary School Diploma; Post-secondary education an asset\xc2\xb7 Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication\xc2\xb7 Minimum 1 year of experience in high volume cash handling\xc2\xb7 Ability to communicate in French language considered an assetSince the fun never stops at Shorelines, candidates must be ready and willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays and overnights, based on business needs.About Us:GREAT ENTERTAINMENT.
