We are a busy periodontal dental practice seeking a Part-Time Bookkeeping Assistant to help organize and manage our monthly financial paperwork. This role focuses on gathering, tracking, and preparing receipts, statements, invoices, and payment records -- and preparing and filing them so they are ready for our accountant to process.
Hours:
3-6 hours per week on a consistent, but flexible schedule
Key Responsibilities:
Track and collect receipts, bills, statements, and invoices
Organize and prepare files for monthly accounting
Reconcile Visa and other statements with receipts
Scan, upload, and file documents (digitally and physically)
Maintain accurate records and up-to-date filing systems
Complete weekly, and month-end and year-end bookkeeping tasks
Other general bookkeeping / administrative related tasks or support as needed
Skills & Tools:
Comfortable with email, scanning, digital filing, and data entry
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Hub-Doc, and using a Scan-Snap
Independent, organized, detail-oriented, and reliable
Strong written and verbal communication skills, fast learner
Prior experience in bookkeeping support or office admin is an asset
Knowledge and understanding of Generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)

This role may expand over time to include additional responsibilities based on the needs of the practice and the candidate's skills and interest
