Summary
We are seeking a passionate part-time Behavioral Therapist to join our team in Mississauga, Ontario. In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering effective behavioral therapy and support to children and youth, helping them achieve their developmental goals and enhancing their quality of life. Flexible weekday scheduling -- no weekends required.
Responsibilities
Provide behavioral support and counseling to youth in school and community-based settings.
Facilitate interactive, youth-centered workshops that foster self-awareness, positive attitudes, and constructive behavior.
Conduct assessments to identify client needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
Integrate frameworks that promote personal growth and planning for success.
Collaborate with families to implement strategies that promote positive behavioral changes.
Communicate effectively with youth, caregivers, and partner organizations.
Leverage technology for documentation, remote facilitation, or data collection as needed.
Facilitate group therapy sessions as needed.
Work closely with other professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
Engage in ongoing training and professional development activities.
Uphold ethical standards and confidentiality in all interactions.
Qualifications
Post-secondary education in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field (degree or diploma).
Experience working directly with youth (preferably middle and high school age) in group or one-on-one settings.
Skilled in public speaking and group facilitation, ideally with background in workshop leadership.
Strong technical competence with digital tools for communication and documentation.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Valid licensure as a Behavioral Therapist or equivalent certification.
Strong knowledge of applied behavior analysis techniques.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Familiarity with crisis intervention strategies is preferred.
