Job Summary
We are seeking a
Part-Time Administrative Assistant
to support our office operations, bookkeeping, and inventory management. This role involves order entry, payment tracking, reconciliation, and customer assistance. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced agricultural business.
Key Responsibilities
Process delivery receipts, invoices, statements, and deposits in computer program (Connex).
Track and reconcile outstanding balances, deferred payments, and commissions.
Maintain accurate financial and inventory records, including inventory counts in each warehouse and reconciliations.
Must have a valid drivers license to go to travel to each warehouse.
Record BOLs, manage returns, and report damaged products.
Assist customers with billing, payment questions.
Order seed and supplies when needed.
Provide general administrative support, including document preparation and filing.
Support social media, newsletters and marketing initiatives as required.
Qualifications
Post-secondary education in business or office administration is an asset.
1-2 years of administrative, bookkeeping, or inventory management experience preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Connex or similar software is an advantage.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Professional verbal and written communication abilities.
Agriculture knowledge or experience is an asset but not required.
Working Conditions
20-25 hours per week; flexible schedule with potential overtime during peak seasons.
Office environment, with occasional lifting
Benefits
Flexible hours. However, spring is a very busy time so hours may be less flexible in April and May.
