This Part-Time Academic will be fully responsible for the teaching and grading of PERF 1001.03 Writing About Music, from January 1 to April 30, 2024 (Winter Term 2024). The class is scheduled on Mondays and Wednesdays, with tutorials on Fridays from 1:35 - 2:25 pm.
This class is core to the Bachelor of Music degree, and it also contributes towards Dalhousie\'s Writing Requirement. The candidate will work closely with teaching staff to coordinate curriculum requirements. The instructor is required to provide a Method of Assessment. This position reports to the Director of the Fountain School of Performing Arts.
Qualifications/Requirements of Position
Minimum of a MA, PhD or ABD status in Musicology or relevant fields; teaching experience at the university level and evidence of teaching effectiveness (formal course evaluations). Please apply online, with a copy of your curriculum vitae and a cover letter.
