is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Parts & Purchasing person to manage procurement activities within our company. This role involves coordinating with suppliers, managing inventory, and ensuring the timely acquisition of parts and materials essential for manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have experience with commercial trucks such as tandems and heavy equipment, along with strong negotiation and computer skills. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to efficient supply chain management and support manufacturing excellence.

Duties

Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to secure optimal value. Coordinate with manufacturing teams to forecast needs and ensure timely availability of parts and materials Maintain supplier relationships, monitor vendor performance, and manage contracts to ensure compliance and quality standards. Conduct market research to identify new sourcing opportunities and cost-saving initiatives.

Requirements

Strong familiarity with handling parts as well as parts inventory. Keeping it organized and accessible for mechanics. Class 5 Driver's License as well as own transportation. Experience with Heavy Equipment such as loaders and crushers. Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to establish mutually beneficial supplier agreements Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration across departments and with external vendors
This role is integral to maintaining seamless operations within our manufacturing environment by ensuring the right parts are available at the right time through effective procurement strategies.

Hiring will not begin until January 1, 2025.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
