As a Partnership Specialist, you will advance the social well-being of Calgarians by managing The City\'s partnerships with non-profit organizations that deliver preventive social service programs. Primary duties include:


  • Oversee contracts with non-profit organizations delivering preventive social programs and services to ensure that requirements and outcomes are being met.

  • Monitor the effectiveness of funded programs and the organizations delivering them, using performance measurement systems and other evaluation tools.

  • Inform the preventive social services funding recommendation and decision-making process.

  • Manage and resolve issues as they arise and escalate as necessary.

  • Inform corporate and department accountability reporting.

  • Prepare and present written reports, briefing notes, memos and presentations, as required.

  • Participate in or lead the project-based work.





Qualifications

  • A degree in a related field plus at least 5 years of relevant experience in the social services field, with emphasis on partner relationships, non-profit management, risk assessment, governance and partnership development.

  • A valid Class 5 Driver\xe2\x80\x99s License (or provincial equivalency) and access to a personal vehicle for business use is required.

  • Experience with Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) outcome tracking system or other performance measurement systems is considered to be an asset.

  • Previous experience and knowledge of non-profit organizations and those who deliver social services programs is also an asset.

Position Type: 1 Permanent and 1 Temporary (up to 18 months)

Location: 315, 10 Avenue SE




Compensation: Pay Grade 11 $42.09 - 56.27 per hour

Days of Work: This position works a 5 day
work week with 1 day off in a 3 week cycle.




Hours of work: Standard 35 hour work week
