- Designing and deploying interactive experiences, online learning modules, and maker kits to teach STEAM fundamentals to all ages
- Publishing the nationally-recognized Root & STEM magazine, create a space to explore diverse voices and stories in STEAM
- Operating makerspaces in Nunavut & Ontario providing hands-on access to tools, equipment, and training for inquisitive minds and makers Job Summary: Pinnguaq is looking to fill the role of Strategic Partnership Advancement Specialist MJC. This candidate will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining strategic partnerships. We are looking for a dedicated individual who is passionate about building and nurturing relationships. Responsibilities: - Identity, cultivate and secure strategic partnerships with relevant organisations, including educational institutes, government agencies, corporate entities and non-profit organisations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including partners, donors and community leaders, to foster collaboration and long-term partnerships.
- Collaborate with internal teams to prioritise outreach, align strategic and program needs.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop compelling partnership proposals , grant applications and funding requests, aligning them with Pinnguaq\xe2\x80\x99s goals and objectives.
- Lead negotiation processes with potential partners to establish mutually beneficial agreement and contracts, ensuring legal compliance and financial requirements.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including program managers, educations, and developers to ensure seamless implementation of partnership initiatives and projects.
- Track and evaluate the progress and impact of strategic partnerships, preparing regular reports and updates for internal and external stakeholders.
- Engage with Indigenous, rural and remote communities to understand their needs, gather feedback and identify partnership opportunities.
- Develop stewardship strategy to nurture long-lasting relationships
- Working with Marketing, develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy to support partner relations and engagement
- Organise networking and community events to share impact of partnerships, advance the mission and grow our partnership network
- Maintain accurate records of partner correspondence and interactions through a CRM
- Stay up to date on sector trends and potential partnerships prospects.
- Support the MJC programs through establishing and maintaining critical relationships Attributes and Qualifications: Equal consideration will be given to non-academic skills and experiences of candidates. - Degree or diploma in relevant education or equivalent experience in business development, fundraising, communications or public relations.
- 3-5 years experience in strategic partnership development, preferably in technology, education or non-profit.
- 3-5 years of networking and building existing relationships with relevant organisations and stakeholders especially within Indigenous communities.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and a proven track record in managing funder and partner relationships.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to articulate Pinnguaq\xe2\x80\x99s mission and values to a diverse audience.
- Demonstrated project management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and handle multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- 3-5 years experience working with government funders. Including experience in developing and submitting successful proposals.
- Cultural sensitivity and a commitment to working with Indigenous communities, understanding their unique needs and challenges.
