The opportunity:
Reporting to the Manager, Advisor Experience, the Partner Support Specialist is accountable for effectively handling questions and resolving problems raised by the advisory teams that make up Wellington-Altus Private Wealth. In this role, the partners include other internal Wellington-Altus Private Wealth departments and our custodian, NBIN.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Acting as an expert resource person on all day-to-day operational procedures.
  • Being responsible for researching and providing clear, meaningful, and accurate responses to inquiries from our partners within a pre-determined time frame.
  • Acting as the intermediary between WAPW staff and the NBIN back office to problem-solve and research multiple solutions.
  • Owning the responsibility for understanding and effectively communicating NBIN inquiries to advisory teams and other partners.
  • Assisting in identifying potential training opportunities within the team and firm to reduce the volume of queries and improve the advisor experience.
  • Working with Team Lead to become a subject matter expert and providing support to other team members within the business area.
  • Resolving user access issues, including password resets, and acting as system steward.
  • Monitoring and distributing trade rejects to appropriate parties.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A bachelor’s degree or diploma in business administration, accounting, finance, or similar field of study.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of industry experience, preferably in an administrative or operational capacity.
  • Prior experience providing investment support.
  • Prior experience in tax and/or accounting would be an asset.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to communicate difficult or complex information clearly.
  • A high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, notably Excel; experience with financial tools an asset.
  • An ability to deal with numerous activities with varying degrees of priority.
  • A reliable work ethic with the ability to manage multiple, competing priorities.
  • A customer-focused attitude, with a commitment to providing extraordinary service to high-net-worth clients.
