Job Description

The Wainwright Regional Landfill is looking for a motivated team player to fill a part-time position of Scale Attendant. The successful applicant will be required to work Saturdays and scheduled weekdays. The position offers a minimum of 32 hours of work per month. Once trained, the part-time scale attendant will be expected to provide coverage for the full-time scale Operator during holidays or sick days.

Duties will include screening waste loads, weighing vehicles in and out of the landfill, billing of account customers, working with a computer, cash register and debit machine, inputting data into the Wesdis scale system and answering phone inquiries. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and computer experience with knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word. Prior experience with cash registers, debit machines and customer service are also an asset. The position requires the attendant to go outside to screen the waste loads and obtain customer information. Training will be provided.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 8 per week

Work Location: In person
