Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Part Time Personal Support Worker (PSW) to join our team in Toronto. This role is essential in providing high-quality care to seniors and individuals with disabilities, ensuring their comfort and well-being in various settings such as assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and home care environments. The ideal candidate will have experience in senior care and a passion for helping others.

Duties

As a Part Time PSW, you will be responsible for a variety of caregiving tasks, including:

Assisting clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming Providing companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients Administering medication as prescribed and monitoring clients' health conditions Preparing nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs Performing light cleaning duties to maintain a safe and hygienic environment Supporting clients with mobility challenges and assisting them in navigating their surroundings Engaging clients in meaningful activities that promote mental and physical well-being

Requirements

To be considered for this position, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or senior care settings is preferred Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities and dementia care is an asset Strong caregiving skills with a focus on compassion and empathy Ability to perform cleaning tasks and meal preparation efficiently Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and team members A commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and dignity at all times
