We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of food safety and preparation techniques. As a Prep Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall dining experience we provide to our guests.

Duties

Assist in the preparation of ingredients for various menu items, ensuring high-quality standards are met. Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to prepare meals accurately. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper storage of food items. Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service. Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Utilize knife skills effectively for food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, and dicing. Support catering events by assisting with meal preparation and presentation as needed. Participate in menu planning discussions, offering input based on dietary department experience or culinary knowledge.

Requirements

Previous experience in a dietary department or as a dietary aide is preferred. Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food service within the restaurant or food industry. Familiarity with food handling practices and safety regulations is essential. Culinary experience with an emphasis on meal preparation techniques is highly desirable. Excellent knife skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Experience in catering services is an advantage but not mandatory.
