We are seeking a talented and passionate Pastry Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in baking and food preparation, with a focus on creating exquisite pastries and desserts. Duties
Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, breads, and desserts according to established recipes and standards.
Develop a fresh new exciting pastry, pie and dessert menu.
Decorate pastries with artistic flair, ensuring presentation meets our high standards.
Assist in the preparation of food items for service, including but not limited to cookies, squares, turnovers, cinnamon buns, tarts, and specialty desserts.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry station and kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations.
Package baked goods for sale or distribution while ensuring quality and freshness are preserved.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, assisting with ordering when necessary.
Uphold high standards of customer service by engaging positively with guests when needed.
Qualifications
Proven experience in a restaurant or bakery setting preferred, with demonstrated skills in baking and pastry preparation.
Strong knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations.
Experience in cake decorating techniques is highly desirable.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork.
Familiarity with packaging techniques for various baked goods is an advantage.
