Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Commercial Vehicle Driver with a strong commitment to safety, reliability, and excellent customer service to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to and from our home terminal while complying with all MVAR regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities

Practice safety, and comply with company National Safety Code (NSC) program requirements for Drivers Be familiar with the Motor Vehicle Act & Regulations (MVAR) and operate vehicle according to respective road safety requirements Assess and secure loads in compliance with MVAR (BC) and only drive loads that are safely secured Perform daily Trip Inspections, Driver Acknowledgement and Daily Log using mobile device prior to departure for all trips Maintain vehicle operations and cleanliness (inside and outside the vehicles) Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle maintenance, and any incidents that occur during transport Communicate effectively with colleagues and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays Receive and provide packing slips for all deliveries Familiar and compliant with Transportation of Dangerous Goods requirements if/when cargo requires.
Perform additional tasks which may require on-the job training:

Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, including forklifts when necessary. Assist with basic automotive repairs as needed to ensure vehicle readiness.

Requirements

Must possess a Class 3 or Class 5 drivers license with endorsement 20 with a clean driving record Proven experience in commercial driving Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols Excellent time management skills and strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients Ability to lift loads and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading freight Able to produce N-Print Driver's Abstract within 10 days of request Provide Accident Claim History Report when requested 19 years of age or older Provide a Vision Accuity confirmation test Provide Medical Doctors declaration that candidate is fit to be driving a Commercial Vehicle

Transportation of Dangerous Goods Certification First Aid Certification Knowledge of automotive repair is a plus

Pay: Up to $30.00 per hour
