Chimney Sweep Assistant

(Part-Time or Full-Time)

Victoria, BC (Greater Victoria area)

Starting wage:

$30/hour

Potential for advancement into certified sweep role

Key Responsibilities

Assist with chimney sweeping and basic maintenance (e.g., soot removal, cleanup, debris management) Set up and break down job-site gear--tarps, ladders, vacuums, safety equipment Provide ladder and rooftop support--holding, stabilizing, maneuvering tools or materials Help with gutter cleaning and routine chimney maintenance tasks Keep worksite tidy--remove debris, sweep work areas, load/unload tools and equipment Adhere to safety protocols and wear provided personal protective equipment
No experience necessary, willing to train the right candidate.

Preferred Skills:

Comfortable working at heights; confident climbing ladders and navigating rooftops Some ladder or construction experience is preferred, but not mandatory Physically fit--able to lift up to 50lbs and stand for extended periods Reliable, punctual, with strong work ethic and a team-oriented attitude Must be at least 18 years old (insurance and safety compliance) Valid driver's license preferred

Schedule

Potential working days: Monday to Saturday (you do not need to be available all days). Daily work times vary, but typically 9am start. Days worked negotiable to suit part-time or full-time arrangements
