Job Description

Responsible for all Front Office operations throughout shift, the night auditor's primary function will be to accurately audit and reconcile all revenue postings, ensuring precise financial reporting of the hotels financial performance for the day.

Hours of work:

11pm to 7am.

Duties:

Check figures, postings, and documents for accuracy; Balance all financial transactions and complete balance sheets, cash reports and related forms; Organize, secure, and maintain all files and records in accordance with document retention and confidentiality policies and procedures; Accurate billing, routing and tallying individual accounts; Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation; Use the correct procedures regarding the acceptance of credit cards and cash in accordance with the hotel credit policy; Handle escalated guest service issues; Ensure that the Management team is kept fully aware of any relevant feedback from guests and/or, other departments; Provide exceptional customer service by going the extra mile for our guests; Basic concierge duties such as giving out directions; Check guests in/out of hotel; Convert reservations via phone and email; Answer switchboard; Respond to guest inquiries and requests, with diligent follow up procedures; Complete shift checklists; Other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

Ability to work a flexible schedule. This is a full time overnight role and includes weekends and holidays; High school diploma or equivalent; Previous hotel experience desired; Ability to operate front office equipment and computers; Ability to compile facts and figures; Ability to understand principals of auditing, balancing and closing accounts; Excellent customer service skills and attitude; Strong communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to handle challenging situations with tact and diplomacy; Ability to work supervised or unsupervised; Excellent command of the English language, verbal and written. Second language an asset; Knowledge of Jonas Chorum an asset.

Wage will be based on experience and a differential will be paid for night shift.
